„Jazz Standards for Catie’s Ballet Class“ ist eine Sammlung von Klavierarrangements von Bruno Lawrence Raco für das Balletttraining, die auf Jazz-Standards und dem „Great American Songbook“ basieren.
 

 
Das Album ist Catie Wells gewidmet, die das Repertoire auswählte und die Struktur des Unterrichts maßgeblich mitgestaltete. Bruno Raco arrangierte die Klavierstücke und spielte sie für den Einsatz im Ballettsaal ein.
 

 
Die Aufnahme begleitet eine vollständige Ballettstunde – vom Aufwärmen an der Stange bis hin zu „Grand Allegro“, „Coda“ und „Port de bras“. Kompositionen von Cole Porter, Gershwin, Ellington, Jobim, Irving Berlin sowie Rodgers & Hart dienen hier als musikalische Begleitung für Übungen wie Pliés, Tendus, Ronds de jambe, Fondus, Walzerkombinationen, Drehungen und Sprünge.
